For those living in southeast Louisiana, wanting the artic cold front, you will have to wait. The front is not going to be as strong as previously thought. Highs are going to be in the 60's with lows in the 40's. Pretty average for here at this time of the year. I was just so happy that I got to see accumalating snow for Christmas. That pretty much made my winter. Because usually I HATE winter. Only long for the temps to drop like a rock when the possibility of snow is in the forecasts. Otherwise I am happy with the 70 degree temps. I like being able to go out in short sleeves and even shorts. But, I still would not mind at all, if we would get another chance of snow headed this way. I would be totally hyped!

Don't dismiss the cold yet, Cajungal...looks like our local mets are, as many seem to be in the south central U.S., beginning to adjust temps downward for the first part of next week. Maybe in response to the model flip-flopping going on and obs upstream. Whether this trend continues or not remains to be seen, but it's interesting to watch nonetheless. Hmmm...could Air Force Met's ideas on another thread regarding the arctic airmass descending further southward than predicted possibly bear out? Stay tuned!
