I've been checking out the discussions and the temperatures up in Montana. According to the NWS office out of Missoula, Montana...the arctic air has stalled out along the continental divide because of a west to Northwesterly influence wind flow. They didn't mention how temporary this would be. Anyways the northcentral cities/towns in Montana are very very frigid. Missoula is sitting at 23 degrees because the brutal cold air is still sitting to the north of 'em. Here are the temperatures to the north of Missoula.
