Wow that makes my area's wind chills of -10 to -20 quite tropical. Break out the swimsuits, baseball bats, and sun tan lotion.

That is crazy even for North Dakota.. -55 wind chills are DEFINITELY life threatening.

you guys need to move north and west! i'm sitting @ -4F with a dewpoint of -15F... Doesn't seem to be as cold as the shot we got back in December, but this looks to stay maybe a little longer...hopefully not...

not you Omaha... my sister lives out there, been there a few times...nice city

That is insane.

If you were to walk out into that, your skin would immediately blister and peel after only a few seconds. Yikes!

What is really scary is that ND has wind chills of -40 to -50 or so, and the wind are only in the 10 to 15 mph range. One can only daydream (or would that be have a nightmare in this case) what it would be like if we had a strong pressure gradient up that way!

A work colleague's son and daughter in law moved from Atlanta to Beulah, ND (south of Bismarck) this summer.

They are (without doubt) freezing their tootsie's off (and regretting the move). :froze:
