We have received at least an inch in the last hour. In another half-hour we will have two inches at this rate.

28 F and Light Snow as of 3:44 PM ... I can't wait for the heavier precip to move on up (currently from Tacoma southward to Centrailia is all moderate precip heading our way). 8-)

Snowing hard still. Really hard.

Not even a hint of freezing rain or ice pellets yet. Big snow flakes piling up on everything.

Kids are running around the house screaming that "its snowing at our house!!"

I'm surprised that the temps. have been falling throughout the day. I thought they would have fallen some and then quickly have risen back up.

Winds blowing harder... almost a "white-out" at times. Even though the radar shows a small break here... it is still coming down hard. I can look up against the ridge over North Bend and see the snow just coming in sheets.

Blowing off the roofs and making little drifts all over the place.

Kids now screaming to go play in all the snow.

Even though we were skiing earlier. It was way too cold up at Snoqualmie Summit to enjoy skiing.

Based on the web cams... we are clear winner right now in the lowlands.

Nothing on the web cams from Everett to Olympia looks like anything thats happening here.

I think its because North Bend is in a deep valley and we have cold air trapped. We normally get downsloped in this situation but I think the cold air is "masking the mountains" like the Spokane NWS said yesterday.

We are just getting slammed here.

We've still got freezing rain...lights have already flickered a few times. There was a car accident about a block away from my house...two police cars are located just outside. Looks like another batch of heavier precip is on its way north.

Looking at the radar... it should not be snowing this hard here right now.

And there is a large band of moderate precip moving in so I expect it will start snowing even harder in about 15 minutes.

Based on web cams... even Issaquah (just 12 miles to our west) is just rain or freezing rain.

Things have gotten nuts here! Been out playing in the snow with my dogs! Its almost like a blizzard now, wind blowing hard, people sliding all over on the compact snow/ice on the roads! Wasn't expecting this. Maybe a little freezing rain, but not this. Temp now down to 27.8 degrees!

O.K... I see heavier snow now in Everett and points north.

Not accumulating like here... but pretty good snow.

We have been getting Light Snow and Ice Pellets since noon, and now finally a band of moderate precip is moving into the area. It should fall as all snow, since at the end of the last band it turned over to snow for about 10 minutes before moving north. With this next band, I think anywhere with lots of cold air trapped could see 1-2" of snow, possibly even more in places like North Bend and areas where the cold air is really trapped (like where I live!) 8-)

Currently 28 F and an East Wind at 5-10 mph.

Web cams show next band is all rain in Tacoma (and up towards Federal Way and the airport).

The snow never slowed down here between bands... just heavy snow with a visibility of about 1/4 mile.

That stong east wind keeps funneling the cold air down into the Snoqualmie Valley from the Cascades. Trees still bending over with swirling snow everywhere.

28.1 F should equal snow right. :D

The precip is almost here!
