Down to 25.9 degrees with a dewpoint of 23 degrees. I am shocked that we are not rising yet.
Snow is heavy with large flakes. Under the lights outside it looks like a real blizzard.
I just cannot express how lucky you are. You have 3-4 inches of snow, while we have 2/10" of pure ice on the ground that you cannot do anything with, except break a leg or two.

Still moderate Freezing Rain as of 6:38 PM, temperature of 28 F and slowly falling.

Ok folks...just did a check out a few moments ago..and the precip appears to light rain and or sleet. Temp is 32.7 as of 6:41pm with DP also 32. Must be a bit warmer at the upper layers right now. We did recieve a light coding on sleet on the ground and including my snow board, but only enough to call it a trace amount. We also a wintery mix from about early afternoon onward of which that consisted of light rain, a little snow, and sleet. Even had short period on very light snow. In terms on liquid precip...there has been no aumulation in my weather station rain guage.
I see that Tim had about 4" of snow at his place. Oh what fun!

So I thought it was plain ol' rain. But to my surprise, it was freezing rain. Just went outside and we probably have an inch of pure ice on the ground. I took a quick walk on the sidewalks/roads, and they are unbelievable. Current temperature is 27 F, dewpoint 32 F. Upper layers of the atmosphere are starting to mix with the lower layers. I still can't believe how much ice we have on the ground. It's probably worse than last year. Our power continues to flinch, and I bet it goes out tonight.

We have ice on top of the 1.5" of snow we have. The roads around my house are pretty much impassible now! Temp has really jumped up though.

I estimated 3-4 inches here. No doubt about it. Its been two hours since we could see the top of the grass. And its been snowing steadily since then.
I guess it possible that the city of North Bend (about 600 feet lower than our location) has a little less but I bet they have at least 2-3 inches. They probably had two inches when I was down there before dark.
Maybe I could make drive down there... just afraid I won't get back!!

KOMO's web site story says:
Most of the freezing rain/sleet was south of Seattle. Most of the snow was north and east of Seattle. Some spots, such as Anacortes, Oak Harbor, and North Bend, were over an inch of snow.
Over an inch... which could mean 2-3 inches!
I am sure they have at least 2 inches... probably 3.

Still one more solid batch of precip heading through the central Puget Sound. I guess another quarter inch of ice is not out of the question. That marks the warm front, so there should be moderating temperatures once this last band rotates through. Current temperatures along the WA coast are between 40-45 F. Amanda Park is 47 F. Kiss winter goodbye!!! Nah...just playin'!!

Andy... yeah I know this can't last... but still fun tonight!!
Just got back in... officially 4 inches at my house.
Still snowing pretty hard... but now the temperature is rising. Not good.
We are up to 27 degrees with a dewpoint of 25 degrees.
It has been snowing moderately or heavy without stopping since mid-afternoon.
