Eric, I prayed for Janae and your family before typing this, and will continue to pray on her behalf.

This hits very close to home for me. Maddie is also eight, and was born with a small hole in her heart...so I understand perfectly the worry and the tears.

Thank you all so very much my beloved Storm2K WxFriends!

Also, the latest this morning is my sister Retha (Janae's mother) called and said that the cardiologist told her that usually in a case of Kawasaki Disease that the first round of IV drug treatment should help to bring improvement but that the hospital staff will be monitoring (she has heart damage) because Janae either has a severe case of Scarlet Fever or Rheumatic Fever (I'm thinking Rheumatic) because it can do damage to organs like the heart, kidneys, etc. It's only her heart that's been affected as far as we know to this point.

I pray ALOT and and have had crying times too just thinking about my dear precious niece and have given it to the Lord and to His Will whatever way it takes...a miracle healing...or being with the Saviour in Heaven.

We can't take these matters on ourselves and that's why it's so very wonderful that JESUS is there for us!

Thanks Eric!

That's the reason I worry so much....if Maddie even gets a sore throat, it scares the daylights out of me. The doctors think she's going to be okay...but every January, she gets a full physical exam, including an EKG and blood tests just to make sure. I've never mentioned this before, but we almost lost Maddie at birth...it was touch and go for several days.

Eric...you know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Yours have been with our family when needed too.

The spirit of Easter is renewal and hope. There is no better day to ask for God's hand to gently intervene on Jenae's behalf and your family's as well.

A prayer was said in San Diego this morning for all of you.

Life is a blessing in itself...and your contribution to all of ours is essential. Do not forget that.

TRULY IS A WONDERFUL EASTER IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!!!!

Latest on Janae:

The general redness of the whites of her eyes (a symptom of Kawasaki) has lessened and is more pinkish now than red and she was able to keep down aspirin for both her heart and headaches...and she will be coming home to Roanoke Rapids this evening!

She still lacks an appetite but hopefully once she's off her IV by late today she will be able to eat again without getting nauseated.

Anyway, prayers have been answered and my niece will be able to come home FINALLY for a while!!! Praise His Name!!!!

She'll have to go back to Pitt Memorial every now and then though for some more treatments...but am still praying for a miracle healing for her!
