The Pacific Northwest is an amazing place for weather...you can have snow/sleet/freezing rain one day, then two days later, temperatures in the 50s with flooding rains. If current NWS discussion is correct, expect substantial flooding on many local rivers throughout the entire week. Monday night/Tuesday morning is the storm to watch...heavy rain and possible strong winds. More to come.

Currently about 32F and rain. The temp. hasn't changed for hours and it is very icy out with icicles hanging off nearly everything. The wind is picking up some and I can hear ice falling out of the trees. Not nearly as bad as last year though.

R-Dub...I just now took a look at tonights 00z GFS...and while it does look like we turn cool once again, it appears that most of the cold air goes too Montana and portions of the upper plains/mid-west. 500MB vorticitys not all to low either, though 700MB heights appear to be around 2940M. And if this situation holds out for day 12...precip is VERY limited..if any at all. But we`ll see how things look as time gets closer. But like you say...lets hope for cold weather again. Maybe even SNOWY to. -- Andy

Next round has started and its still all snow here.
Amazing watching the news how lucky we have been. In the break between bands of snow the temperature rose to 29 degrees. Not sure if it will fall again once the snow starts flying for awhile.
One of the stations had a reporter in Oak Harbor this evening and the scenes looked similar to North Bend... really heavy snow falling.

Also... called a family friend that lives right in North Bend to see if they were out playing in the snow with the kids.
He estimated 2-3 inches on the ground there so definitely a little less than up here on the hill. He also said that tons of people were out playing in their neighborhood tonight.
Just checked and we have HUGE flakes coming down.

This round is definitely still snow here and the radar shows no end in sight.
I would estimate 5 inches on the ground now here at an elevation of 1000 feet. Hard to imagine that there is no snow in the rest of Seattle.
As predicted... our temperature has dropped again now that its snowing. We are at 27.9 degrees and our dewpoint has fallen to 21 degrees.
