Please use this thread to post your questions concerning snow amounts and locations as opposed to posting individual threads concerning those types of questions. Also be sure you read the post above concerning this that Chad posted.

Also use this thread to post your snow amounts. Be sure you give locations and time/date too.

Being that Middlesex County, New Jersey is in a north latitude, I have a feeling they may see a "few" flakes. :

W e got 1.7 inches at the airport here in Milwaukee...Very windy last night with considerable blowing and drifting of the light snow..The clipper tonight looks to be starved for moisture and tracking to far south, we Might get another inch tonight if we are lucky..Next clipper for the early weekend is worth keeping a eye on..

The thing moved through so quick last night i didn't see a single flake fall...just a fresh cover this morning!

I'm not sure if it'll make another inch here tonight as the cliper looks weak. Temperatures getting up near freezing now...hope this stuff can stay on the ground.

could be anyhting from a mix to a snowstorm here on saturday.

Fredericksburg is looking at possibly 3-6 inches of snow this weekend, but not tonight.

Richmond got 1.1" of snow yesterday, and is looking at 1-3 tonight, and a possible ice storm on Saturday.

Of course, this'll probably change, because the computer models seem to be changing their minds with every run.

OK, I'll post here.

Location: North Central PA. Approx 41° 12' North,
76° degrees 37' West.

The radar map showed the first bands of snow over our location at 7:30 am. The first flakes started falling at 9:00. Still have about 1 inch of packed powder on the ground left over from the last storm. Roads are clear and dry and covered with salt residue. My maroon car is white from salt residue.

9:00 AM 5° F, ENE 12, 30.05 falling, DP -7°, 1" of previous snow
Fine light snow just starting.

9:30 AM Snow starting in earnest

11:00 AM moderate snow 7° F, E 18-22, 29.98 falling, DP 1°, 1 3/4" snow total

1:30 PM moderate snow 10° F, E 18-25, 29.78 falling, DP 7°, 4" snow total

2:15 PM light snow 12° F, E 14-28, 29.76 falling, DP 7°, 4 1/2" snow total. The edge of the dry slot just passed, but we're near the northern tip of it so it hasn't completely stopped snowing. May get some intermittent snow for a while.

5:45 PM Cloudy 16° F, ENE 13, 29.67 steady, DP 10°, Still 4 1/2" of snow. Looks like the low is right over me. Starting to see rotation on the radar map. Wraparound may kick in soon.

As of 1030 am... we have received 2.5" of snow so far. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Hopefully we get some from the wrap around!

Arlington VA 22 Jan 2005

#18 Postby arlwx » Sat Jan 22, 2005 1:37 pm

At noon in Arlington VA, we had a coating on cars and grass, starting to cover the road.

By 115 pm, we had moderate to heavy snow, 1/2 inch, 1/4 mile visibility and 21 degrees. And the road won out over an overconfident SUV driver ((just couldn't get up that second hill, ha.ha.)).
