I was born in the 1940's, but for years and years (beginning in my late teens), I had flashbacks from a dream with the date of July 10, 1976 as its central theme.
It sort of fed on itself as the 1970's arrived, and I told friends and family about that date in time. By virtue of my conversations and fixation on that date, I found myself mentally preparing for any and everything by the 9th of July, 1976. I became apprehensive about the unknown days in advance..wondering if it might be my last day, a new beginning, or a myriad of other possibilities. I was 30 then and had one son.
To no one's real surprise, the day came and went with little fanfare. And while I searched and looked for answers and reasons why that date might have been so fixed into my brain for so many years, I simply came up blank.
Except....
Except that it is now 2005. I am somewhat older now. And although I don't have that dream and fixation any more, I still am attentive and then some to the date of July 10, 1976.
Always thinking, listening, perking my ears when I hear of any reference from someone else.
Perhaps, just perhaps, that date still has significance in my life. Significance I may not even know until....
One thing for sure. It was a seed sown in a youthful dream, but it is stealthly planted in this man's mind.
Just in case I find out why.
What's the strangest dream you've had?

I have recurring dreams - alot! The most frequent one has to do with not being prepared for a final exam and therefore not being able to graduate -mostly college.
I have dreams about tornados as well - that they're around me, but I haven't benn "sucked up" into one.
Recently the more common dreams I've had are where I'm travelling with friends or family to places that I have been before in reality, though they look nothing like that place.
