How much does Rotel Cost in your area?

#1 Postby Persepone » Fri Jan 21, 2005 8:17 pm

Thanks to all of you who posted recipes/suggestions for Rotel.

As I said earlier, I found a "knock off" in local supermarkets.

My husband found me 2 cans of the real deal -- name brand Rotel! $1.50 per can. Is that what it costs in Florida? Texas? elsewhere?

I used my last can a couple of nights ago when making tomato gravy and rice so I need to buy some next time I go to the store and I will let you know what it costs.

I can get a six pack at Sam's Club for about $3. At the market, it's less than $1 a can.

Aha! An excuse to visit warmer climates...

Somehow I thought $1.50 a can was a rather steep price.

Thanks to all.

You are right--good stuff. Now I'll have to try all those new recipe suggestions.

Persepone, is it possible for you to request items at your grocery store? Your grocer could try to find it and it may end up being cheaper than the other brand.

I believe it's $.65 a can at my local Kroger and it goes on sale for a little less sometimes. I love the stuff!!

LOL Bill. You've never had Velveeta cheese dip made with Rotel? Oh boy...you're missing out! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Check your grocery store for Velveeta cheese and Rotel tomatoes and get some tortilla chips. The recipe (very simple!) is on the Velveeta box. Enjoy!!

*if you don't like spicy food, get mild Rotel. ;)

Local grocery, more expensive than Wally World, but just around the corner Rotel is .91 can.

No, thanks...I'll stick to my Masterpiece BBQ chips and French Onion dip.
