Hey everybody. While areas up in Philly, New York, and especially Providence and Boston got clobbered by snow, we experienced the first major snowfall in north central Maryland this season. 6-10 inches of snow fell in north central Maryland. I ended up with 6 inches with this storm. This morning snow drifts were over a foot in some places here and that lingers into this evening as well.
I got pics of the snow as it fell yesterday. http://community.webshots.com/album/255662789RgcvtO These 9 pics were taken during the hours between 1:15 and 2:15 pm yesterday 1-22-05. During this time period, snow was the heaviest with hourly rates up to 2.5 inches per hour. I got more pics today of the aftermath of the snow, which I'll post on the website a bit later. We got a dangerously cold night tonight with lows between 0 and 5 above. Wind chills of 5-15 below zero are likely tonight in the DC/Baltimore corridor. With the snow cover, temps should tank to near zero tonight.
