Scott Peterson Arrested!!

With the Susan Smith story, I believed her 100%. I began locking my car doors, thinking if it can happen to her children, it could happen to mine (remember she said they were kidnapped as she sat at a traffic light, along with the car). I cried as she cried when interviewed on the news. When it was revealed she was respsonsible it took me by complete surprise. And utter shock. I cried all the more thinking, how in the world could a mother do such a thing to her two children?

Fast forward to now and this day and age. Now you can understand how suspicious I am of the parents or family left behind. I even looked twice at Elizabeth's Smart's parents. You didn't want to believe they were involved but at interviews I found myself looking more intently at their choice of words. And it's all a direct result of Susan Smith. At least with me anyway it is.

I have to agree with you Miss Mary - the Susan Smith case was a dramo right out of the book.

What made Scott snap? Did he have his arraignment today?

I saw where he was formally charged but I haven't seen any reports of the actual arraigment yet.

Scott Peterson's arraigment is scheduled for 4:30 PM ET/1:30 PM PT, 10 minutes from right now.

Thanks for the info ColdFront! From the formal charges they say that the murder took place in the house between Dec 23rd and 24th. Makes you wonder what physical evidence they may have found in the house.

I just watched a live conference on CNN with Laci's family. How utterly heart wrenching to hear their grief just poured out in such painful ways. I'm sobbing here. Her mother's words were the saddest to endure. But needed to be said. The entire family thanked each and every agency and group who helped find Laci. They did not talk about Scott and her step-father said they won't. He said let justice be served. I deeply admire them for that. Did anyone else catch this news conference? So very sad.
