Go to the tropical section for more information about this very early storm well before the official start of the season on june 1.

ever notice they always seem to start out the season with FEMALE names? is it a courtesy move as in "ladies first" or some twisted meteorology metaphor akin to "the female of the species is more deadly than the male?" hmmm... :?:

(any ladies care to comment?)

The first name storm in the "even years" are male (1992-"Andrew") and the "odd years" are female (2003-"Ana").

The first year male names were added with female names was 1979. [I mentioned this in another thread]
