I know, I missed my storm 2k. Oh yeah, and why are all the emoticons wearing santa hats? It's a little past Christmas isn't it?

I think Chad's the one who'll fix the smilies. Maybe he is just getting them up really EARLY this year. Merry Christmas everyone!!

I missed my Storm2K too! At first, I thought it was just my computer acting up. Instead of the faces wearing santa hats, let them wear Mardi Gras hats! Happy Mardi Gras everyone! Les Bon Temps Roulez!

I'm glad to see it back, too

The weather's been so cold that even the emoticons need to dress warm. :D

Now will someone fix the web site of the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC)? Especially since that's the only place that correctly predicted clouds for Richmond today. The GFS said things would be OK; the local weather people and the official NOAA forecast all called for sunny, clear, and partly cloudy. Only the cloud forecasts of the CMC predicted today's clouds. They can be obtained by going to

http://cleardarksky.com/c/Richmond_VAkey.html

and clicking on the squares in the row marked "Cloud Cover". You get pages showing cloud cover for NE North America. Of course you may pick your own city instead of Richmond.

There is a link on that page called "Animate this image". If you click on that, you get "Server Error", or something like that. I just checked it now. Apparently they got it fixed. Try it out. The resulting animation looks really cool.
