Arctic Attack next week in the Plains?

#1 Postby Portastorm » Mon Jan 31, 2005 10:32 pm

So is the European around 6-7 days to be believed?

Last several runs (today's 12z and 0z and last night's 12z) all suggest an Arctic outbreak rolling down the east side of the Rockies into the Southern Plains by late Monday, Feb. 7th.

How is it matching up to the ensembles, anyone know?

Well for the record, Tuesday's 0Z run of the Euro backs off on this "plunge" of Arctic air ... but oddly enough, the 0Z run of the GFS picks up on it and suggests a winter weather event for my area.

If only ..
