Rumors saying it will snow in Southeast Louisiana Monday-NOT

I don't know how the rumors got started. But, rumors have been flying that it is supposed to snow in southeast Louisiana on Monday night for the parades. How is it supposed to snow when the temps will be in the 50's? I see no freezing temps anywhere around southeast Louisiana for next week. Yeah, everyone might of got spoiled seeing the snow for Christmas. But, just because we saw the white stuff for Christmas, it is not happening again anytime soon. If you live in southeast Louisiana, you got a very rare treat for Christmas. You will just have to move a state or two further north if you want to see repeat snow events in the winter.

Maybe later in the week, but not Monday. I doubt Louisiana gets anything though. Maybe the Tennessee Valley region.

I heard that rumor too, Cajungal. My mom called and asked if I had heard anything about it. I wonder where that info is coming from. Certainly not any reputable meteorologist.

I don't know who said it would snow possibly on Monday because warmth and a return flow of moisture would certainly not represent snow at least on Monday for Louisiana. There maybe some rain chances on Monday, but that would be about it.
