We can't find a damn groundhog so we'll use the next best thing, Spicoli. According to Bonehead Nation legend http://www.933thebone.net/, if Spicoli sees his shadow on Wednesday, February 2nd, there will be six more weeks of winter weather. If he does not see his shadow, there will be...six more weeks of Jager? At midnight on February 2nd, Spicoli will be secured in a Refrigerator box with nothing but a pack of smokes and a bottle of Jagermeister, or as he likes to call it, groundhog punch. When he wakes up he'll have 93 seconds to get out of the box and see his shadow. Hopefully he'll get up before 9am. We'll be celebrating Groundhog Day from 5am-9am at The Waffle House, 1910 North Collins off I-30 in Arlington TX. with Spicoli. Come by and tap on the glass because this animal is already disturbed.

:notworthy: :1095: :onfire:

UPDATE 02-02-05

Spicoli falled to get out of his box in 93 seconds (to much Jager and trying to interview Kato of O.J fame) Spicoli just said F@#K IT it's warmer in here  anyway 6 More weeks of JAGERMEISTER!!!

Brent.... Last year Phil saw his shadow through clouds and light snow. I guess anything is possible if you rely on an animal that if you whistle, stands up so you can take a shot at them, and if you miss, just wait 10 seconds and whistle again

Think about it ... If we get nothing fromk now until next rainy season ...

...I don't even want to think about it really to be honest with you...

(can we say a repeat of October 2003???????????)

From the way things are going here, it's a combo of Spring and Winter weather. Warm one day then cold the next.

Sun Prairie's own Groundhog... Jimmy did not see his shadow. Looks like to be an early spring.

Jimmy and his seven predecessors - also named Jimmy - have been right 80 percent of the time since they began making such predictions in 1948.

If you think about it... Feb 2nd is EXACTLY 6 weeks from the Spring Solstice (March 21)... Spring doesn't officially start until March 21st...

so ...we could have cold weather and snow until them or mild temperatures.

I don't think the South Texas Possum saw his shadow today.

Still in the 40's and cloudy when the NWS and the local TV mets predicted 50's

Our groundhogs are holed up somwhere under the snow, under the crawl space or something. No sign of them. I think they were too smart to come out and see whether they had shadows or not.

6 more weeks of winter anyway, I think...

Some places in Western Washington State got up to 70 degrees today, that groundhog would be wearing sunglasses and shorts, if he was a pacific northwesterner  I live 1hour south of the Canadian boarder, and my location still managed to get up to the low/mid 60's  INSANE for this area considering its FEB 2nd!!
