****Hurricane Season 2005 is here!!****

Here is the countdown for hurricane season to start officially on June 1.Time goes fast and before you know it we are at June 1 and you will see the numbers change daily here.

Note=I will be changing the numbers at around 7:00 PM (EST) every evening and after April 3 (Daylight Savings Time) 8:00 PM (EDT) as it is 00:00z.

I can't wait! I wish it was June 1st Now! Anyway, I can't wait to sit up all night and look at the latest data.

cycloneye thanks for the count down. My daughter will be 21 on June 1st this year so I will tell her how many days she has left till she can get in a bar and order a drink....hahahahaha

My husband dreads June 1st every year since we live so near the water and were flooded with Georges to the tune of 1 1/2 ft.

Ok good so follow the countdown and when you dont know it will be June 1 and celebrate the birthday.

Wow I posted this countdown on the 31 of january and 5 days haved passed already.So June 1 may be far now but it will get closer and closer fast.

It is getting very fast close to 100 days left and from there it will be a matter of time when June 1 arrives.But will a storm form before June 1 this year to have an early bird system to follow?

My birthday marks exactly the middle of the wait between the end of a hurricane season and the start of another, March 1st!

now wait just a minute here..
I have to watch and worry and watch and wait and then get excited and then get scared all at the same time for six months of the year, right?
Now I see we are counting down the days during the other six months too?
that means we never stop thinking about hurricanes, right?
12 months of the year! or maybe 11 months since cycloneye posted this January 31. :lol:

The countdown is to start to build the excitement for the hurricane season as it comes closer every day to begin to track them.

At january first there were 150 days left but now look how time has gone by rapidly as the numbers change so before you know it June 1 will be here.

i'm with you deebee - i'm not so certain i'm looking forward to this hurricane season after last! let's just hope we don't have any BIG storms come this way again!

Even with the bad year for us here last year.. I'm looking forward to it as well.. I love the thrill of a good storm.. Charley was the 1st cane that scared me.. Frances was just a rainmaker here and I stayed up all night watching Jeanne..

Been through 4 storms.. I just wonder what working Wal Mart will be like if I have to work just a day or 2 before a hurricane lol..

I have my #'s all picked out.. as well

111 days is about 1/3 of the entire year. That's quite a while. Once its late April and May, than I'll get excited. I want a 'cane to come by here on the jersey shore where I live because I never experienced true weather power. It's about time we got hit with a big one since 1938. Our last direct impact was by a Cat 1 in early 1900's and Cat 4 once way back in the 1700's.
