This place would be NUTZ if there were another Superstorm this winter (barring board going down or power outages associated with the Superstorm).

I'd be here 24/7 before during and after!! :D

Let's hear it for another Superstorm!!

It'd be busy, but probably not nearly as busy as it was during Frances and Ivan.

I think that would depend on where the storm formed. If it formed where it did last time I think it could rival those times.

If a Superblizzard like the 1993 one forms during the next few weeks this board will be almost as active as when the hurricane Hollow forum is when a strong cane threats the US.On September 1 2004 storm2k has a record of 429 members at the same time when Ivan was threatening the US and it would be the same if a 1993 type Blizzard forms.

Busy to the MAX!

Even those who were not being affected directly by a Super Storm either:

1) Are totally fascinatede by these events or 2) Have family living in the affected areas, or 3) Both #1 and #2.

I don't think the hype of a winter superstorm could rival the threat of a cat. 4 or better storm threatning the CONUS....as far as this board is concerned. Also, the media coverage on the winter storm a few weeks back didn't compare to the coverage on the Florida hurricanes last year. Just my 2 cents.

It'd probably surpass the record that Luis mentioned of 429 users during Ivan. Especially if there were similarities between the two storms.

I just can't get excited about a little (or a lot) of snow compared to a big hurricane. I guess it would depend on one weather interests....MGC

I think if it formed in the right spot in was slightly stronger then the 1993 superstorm. It would kill the power of most houses with in the storm2k area. Which would make it about a week of now one able to use there computers/Lights/Food/stores or anything else.

The storm of the century in 93 was like a Hurricane for Florida. We had no warning which made it worse.
