First Guess Threat Map For Feb 10th Storm

#1 Postby Noreaster_Jer_04 » Mon Feb 07, 2005 8:15 pm

Just some oppening thoughts regaurding the storm...

Areas obviously are subject to change, big problem area is Eastern PA, is it warm enough for rain at first ??? Even if not, does storm come together too late for this region as it did with the January Blizzard for NE, and finally area is in good location for a potential dry slot...

Big Cities could see accumulating snow after a rainy start (Boston obviously the exception), but the threat for snow greater than 6" is low...

Areas in the reddish-purple could see accumulations rivaling that of the Januray Blizzard, as storm could bomb out in a mega way...

Breakdown of the Cities...

Washington- Forget about it it's just rain
Baltimore- See Washington
Philadelphia- Rain at start, accumulating snow possible by stroms end
New York- At threshold for decent snow after rainy start
Hartford- Major snowstorm possible
Boston- Crippling storm is possible

hopefully we'll have a big snow in our neck of the woods (i.e., Exton, Reading)! My wife and I just had twins this past week, and since we're already housebound for a while, it would be fun to have a big storm

Hey Exton... Congrats on little bundles of joy... I can't imagine what twins must be like, I hope you get a present from mother nature, the odds though at this point are slim in all honesty
