I was just curious. How much server space is now used by this board, with all the archived posts & etc?

Acttually there is a flaw in your reasoning The current board average is a little over 880 posts per day. Based on total posts/disk space used you come up with an average of 632 bytes per post. If we remained at a constant 880 posts per day we would run out of disk space in month 22. Assuming we continue to grow at a reasonable pace I would expect the actual point that we have to start pruning posts to be about 12-13 months away

I wasn't using the 880 posts per day average. I was using the intial numbers of space used up. Your numbers make perfect sense to me, Marshall. Sorry for the confusion.
Also, I noticed that in the off-topic forum the last five posts are, two on October 25th, one each on November 3rd, January 14th and January 15th. I assume only a very few posts have been deleted thus far... that would mean that the oldest posts in the off-topic forum, between October 25th and November 3rd and between November 3rd and January 14th-January 15th had no additional responses; not that many of the posts in between these dates were deleted. Is this true?
Thanks, Marshall.
