I just HAVE to post before I sleep the rest of the week away and float out to the Pacific when we get rain for 5 1/2 days straight as we are progged to do starting tomorrow night.
Answer me this, oh dear Seattle area wx buds:
Why the hostility??!!?!
Stay safe down there Joshua!! Sounds like you guys are expecting more mudslides, and such.
On the hostility part, its between two or so members here, and hopefully they will work it out. Its more debating then hostility, but its IS on the verge of more.

TT...You are correct...Covington certainly gets the shaft on snow with these situations. We do much better when a southern branch low tracks just to the south. Another situation where we can do well is if a cold surface low tracks right down the Puget Sound basin. In April 2001, we had snow here when nobody else got it with that situation. The other one that can get us is a true NW flow, where we are not blocked by the Olympics. That having been said, I will be moving to Palmer in the next year or two, and then I will get my snow. I will be highly interested to see who gets more snow between there and your area.

By Palmer do you mean in this state, or Palmer, Alaska? I think you would be the big snow winner if you moved to Palmer AK! My grandparents used to live there, tons O snow!!!

Looks like everyone here has has at least a little winter weather over the last 24hrs!! Can you imagine what this thread would be like if we had a Dec 1990, or Dec 1996 Storm!! probably 300 pages in a day or two
Would be mighty quiet here though if we had another columbus day windstorm, nobody would have power
