14R still remains with little change forecast over the next few days.
Severe Tropical Cyclone Olaf (08F/19P) (16/0600Z)
Position: 12.8S 171.1W (95 mi NW of Apia, Samoa)
Movement: ESE at 17 mph
Winds: 165 mph
Pressure: 915 mb / 27.02"
Dvorak Est: T7.0/7.0
Olaf apprears to have reached it’s maximum. Some slight weakening is forecast as Olaf batters the islands through Samoa, American Samoa, and the Cook Islands.
Tropical Cyclone Nancy (09F/18P) (16/0600Z)
Position: 22.4S 159.8W (740 SW of Tahiti, French Polynesia)
Movement: SW at 12 mph
Winds: 55 mph
Pressure: 975 mb / 28.79"
Dvorak Est: T2.5/3.5
Shear continues to tear at Nancy while outflow is decreasing. Expect continued weakening over the next few days.
