Tornado in Temecula!!!

PRELIMINARY LOCAL STORM REPORT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN DIEGO CA 1034 AM PST SAT FEB 19 2005
..TIME... ...EVENT... ...CITY LOCATION... ...LAT.LON... ..DATE... ....MAG.... ..COUNTY LOCATION..ST.. ...SOURCE.... ..REMARKS..
1000 AM TORNADO TEMECULA 33.50N 117.13W 02/19/2005 F0 RIVERSIDE CA EMERGENCY MNGR RIVERSIDE CO. OES REPORTED SOME STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND DEBRIS ON ROADWAY. INJURIES TO SOME ANIMALS.

If I'm reading it correctly, that tornado was an F1 on the fujita Scale with winds estimated between 73 and 112 mph.

Thanks for the concern guys...we're totally OK...still not sure where exactly the damage is, as we haven't even left the house today...hee hee...its a rainy pajama day!

According to SPC, there was also a tornado in Huntington Beach near the PCH. In fact, when I checked there were 4 tornadoes listed for CA today.

The tornado in hunington was an F0 on the Fujita scale with winds of 40-72 mph.

I used to live in Huntington Beach but now I live a few miles away from there. Still about the same distance from the beach though. Some crazy weather out here of late that's for sure. :eek:
