The Rain In Southern Calif

#1 Postby canegrl04 » Tue Feb 22, 2005 9:23 am

This is incredible. They are saying LA could top the all time record in rainfall for one season .So far its just over 32 inches total. The all time record is 38 inches set in 1883/84  (normal for a season is 9 inches)

This is just a mild el nino year and scientists say they can't really explain why this is happening

I saw on the news yesterday evening a scene from one of the valley areas...the report talked about a young girl who was sitting at her computer at home and a landslide took out most if not all of her and her parent's house and the girl died from what I heard...one of at least 4 fatalities now from the California storminess. :(

We're just 2 inches away from breaking the rain record in history...I'm afraid we may break that record this week....
