Big big show tonight...Jason Beaman (you know him as ALHurricane)...Meteorologist from the NWS will be joining us for a comprehensive Winter Weather update...he has some thoughts on what could be a big pattern change...and he'll stick around while we talk tropics. We are very excited about him becoming a regular on our program...he brings a large amount of experience and knowledge to the show.
Mike Adcock is also scheduled to deliver the world-wide tropical update...and we will discuss hurricane landfall probabilities and what they do and don't mean...as well as global warming and many other topics.
Plus Aquawind (Paul) will be in studio to bring his thoughts and help to the show...

I'm happy with that high pressure over Greenland that got mentioned as it has joined up with the Scandinavian High and is giving us some winter weather for a change. The Icelandic low currently isn't anywhere near Icleand. 
The ECMWF model, the ECMWF being about a 10 minute walk from here
, should be good. They don't even look at job application forms if the candidates don't have a PhD.
Some of those items that people were getting replaced seemed a bit strange, especially given they didn't have hurricane force winds.
Interesting to hear the tornado warnings. I'm a member of the British tornado group TORRO http://www.torro.org.uk and we have a forum for advising of possible tornadoes rather than the set up you have there. I know tornadoes are generally less strong here (Think the record in the UK is a T8 : More here http://www.torro.org.uk/TORRO/research/whirlextreme.php), but we do get more per land area than you do in the USA.
