Congrats I-95 and eastward
Enjoy the blizzard coming your way while the rest of us west of you watch jealously. Indianjones was right all along. A gulf stream track. You won. We lost. Now let's get this storm done with and bring on Spring. Once again, I was excited for nothing.

UNBELIEVABLE!!
I was expecting the same forecast - beginning as snow and mixing and changing to rain. Now there's a WS Watch for 5 - 8 inches of snow with 20 - 30 MPH winds and more significant snows in the evening.
Now, down at the shore (Atlantic City) where I work, it could still be a mix, but a Nor'easter in in form is still nasty down there.

Yea, quite nasty and perhaps some tidal problems in Atlantic City later tomorrow also. Those dunes I saw there at ACY two weeks ago maybe put to the test later in the day Monday with higher tides coming in perhaps. Gales are definitely likely tomorrow in the southern Jersey shore. Luckily in the case of ACY, winds will parallel the coast more or less. Still a nasty beach day.
We're watching here in Baltimore for what appears to be an all snow event with heavy accumulations of 4-8 inches easily by evening Monday. More will likely follow after sunset Monday giving a general 6-12" swath of Baltimore and DC points northwest. Some areas between Philly and Allentown points northeast to NYC could see a general 8-14 inches of heavy wet snowfall. Then the attention shifts to Boston and Providence later Monday into Tuesday for 6-14 inches of wind driven wet snow.
Keep in mind also with wet snow sticking into trees and powerlines, power outages will be a definite concern with this storm. If in the northeast corridor including the major cities points north and west, get ready to lose power in some spots as wet snow will stick into trees and powerlines. The strong winds will likely do the rest. Will keep an eye on this through today and tomorrow.

Let's still be cautious folks. I know I said big snows for the I-95 cities on Friday, but it is not necessarily going to be all snow at the coast. This storm will wrap up tight, and sometimes that can mean ocean influence and warm air at the height of the storm. I'm leaning to mix sleet in across LI, NYC and Central Jersey, but there are areas that could change to rain, such as SE jersey Eastern LI, se RI and se Mass. Now I am saying COULD. That doesn't mean it will, but the track is so critical. I've seen a few of these that actually track NW. Don't Think it will happen, and if a changeover occurs in the areas above it will change back to snow as the low moves east and north of these areas. I remember a storm back in I think it was '72, that gave us 8" of snow, turned to sleet then rain in the afternoon; I picked up my future brother-in-law up at LGA that nite in the fog; then woke up for a wedding the next day and saw a fresh 6 inches of blowing snow and 3 more to follow. A low had developed during the nite over LI Sound in the wake of the departing storm and pulled the cold air down when the upper low over Ohio sent a S/W thru......nice surprise. This dual low configuration looks like it could supply some nice wraparound snow in the wake of the primary. Wish I was up north.
Cheers!!

I'm not favoring this track EXPONPA, but its not impossible either. Just don't think the streams will phase in time to pull the surface low that far west in time. But it will happen; they will phase near Eastern massthen head NNW. Stephanie, you wouldn't be getting a tan in Palm Bay today
We are getting Heavy, Heavy rain right now and severe T'storms expected.....this low has plenty of moisture to work with, and some of my rain drops will be your snow flakes. But after this week you may want to come down here to visit just to get away from the cold
Enjoy the snow.

Guys, I have no idea as to what will happen exactly so I'm posting a bunch of maps: Enjoy and take it easy, I will shift those accums more to the east.
This is my most up to date accumulations that I'm predicting:
This was my First outlook on just what the storm tracks would look like:
This was just showing where the heaviest snow would fall (I think I posted this one yesterday)
