I think teh 6-10 is on target....there is of course a question of the track still. However some morons in the DC area are really going toward the NAM for some reason (Probably because it is the furthest West of the Models). Sterling is still putting out for 6-10 and I would go with that for now but when the storm gets closer we should know for certain how much as it could get worse.

I definitely think the west is way underdone and the east is a bit overblown on that map. I don't see anyone in the east getting more than a foot. In a lot of the western areas it's going to snow for about 2 days straight and some areas could see 8 to 12 inches total from tonight through Tuesday. Seems like most people on here are only taking the coastal low into consideration and forgetting that their is a low in the midwest moving east and there's even a low just east of Louisiana right now pumping some moisture north. A lot of factors involved with this storm, or storms. Western PA and Eastern Ohio may get moisture from all of these lows. Not much from the coastal low, but combined with the other lows, I think it looks pretty good for a good dumping in this area as well. It's just going to take longer as the snow won't be as heavy as it will be east of the area. Places like Philly, NY, and DC will get heavier snows that just won't last as long. Plus, if they get a mix or changeover that could keep the totals down as well. Just some things to consider.

This thread confirms your lack of weather knowledge. I told you VIRGA. Per LWX DANVILLE CLOUDY 42, closest rain is light rain-Raleigh.

Okay, that's enough! We don't allow bashing of any kind here at S2K. Sometimes and unfortunately, people post things just to get a reaction. Let's just let the results speak for themselves.

Yeah i know that, I was telling Exton what the temps are down there because he said it's all rain in southern WV. Anyway, I would think that the leading edge may end up being virga, especially closer to the high pressure that is sitting on the Virginia coast. I wonder how much that high is going to affect the track of the low and if it will cut down on the totals at all?
