Howdy peeps,

Well done on the newspaper Garrett (I have to laugh every time i type your name, I had a very good friend with the same name, except I used to call him Carrot!)

Nothing exciting going on down here, been a really dry boring weather pattern. Hoping something will come my way soon (even a shower would be nice!)

Hope you all have a good day.

Well, I finished the paper this morning (it was just proofing from where I left off from last night)...that was a huge burden lifted off my shoulders.

I have a take home Chemistry II midterm that is due on Monday and then a physics exam on monday also...(monday will be the busy day!)

52* here in titletown...gorgeous outside. :D

Have an excellent day everyone :D

Thanks Brownwyn. Glad that typing my name makes you laugh... even if I had nothing to do with it. ;)

We had snow days, but I don't think we have to make them up unless they are excessive!

It's been a while since I've visited the porch! I've been busy elsewhere, so I have a legit excuse-well maybe.

I think I'll just pull up a rocker and see who stops in. I always did like "rockin' out"!!

Meanwhile I'm gonna grab a Sierra Mist and relax and enjoy the 73º weather here on the porch. I know Texas Stooge had some rough weather today. Hope it wasn't too bad!! Here in Houston I think we will miss the bad weather even though that is not the official prog. WV imagery shows the dry line moving moe N that E at this time, so it will probably bypass us to the N. Later this morning that may all change, but for now that looks like what will happen.

Josh, it sounds like you are enjoying your new job. That always make it easier to go to work!!

Still no job here and no apparent prospects in the near term. All I can do is keep on keepn' on and finish honeydo's in the meantime. I'm even becoming a pretty decent cook while I'm unemployed. Hmmm, carreer change? Unfortunately, my back couldn't handle the standing required for a chef's job. Besides that they'd have to fire me for eating all the profits!! :o

Yuck! Finals!!! I always hated them. Good luck on yours Garrett and Shannon!! Congrats Garrett on the newspaper award!! And you are right about UM at Columbia supposedly having the No. ! journalism dept. in the nation, or so they think. They have very strict entrance requirements and don't even accept you as a journalism major till your junior year.

Well, as I rock I'm starting to fell slee....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Good morning ...sticky, muggy day here. We didn't get the series of storms we expected lastnight and this am, but just enough rain to make it steamy.

Ughhh, we had dinner at a terribly romantic restraunt in a beautiful old 1892 Victorian house lastnight. The cuisine was excellent, but I think I picked up a nasty case of food poisoning there. Add me to your prayers please. Lastnight was a very scary night for me, and I'm not feeling to keen this day either. Either the foods were just too rich for me, or something was not quite right! "This ain't fun".

My illness is making for a short day of school for the kids today...I'm not sure they quite mind...lol.

When is the next scheduled chat?

Take care evryone.

Evening everyone! :) Looks like the severe weather is all around me, but not here. That is okay. It will probably rain again though, which will be nice.

It made it up to 78º here today and so the weather was nice.

I am heading to Columbia,MO for the weekend tomorrow at noon. Y'all behave while I am gone, ok?

Have a great evening,
Garrett :multi:
