I look out my kitchen window and gaze out at the space where my plum tree used to be but Hurricane Charley took it out. My bedroom heats up during the day so that it is impossible to sleep because Hurricane Jeanne took out the tree that blocked the sun. My house wasn't damaged to the pount the ones in the newspaper article talked about but we see reminders every day of the three hurricanes that hit Lakeland in the trees that are no longer here, buildings and houses around us that were damaged. You never recover from the terror of the hurricanes, I know I still get scared even if it is just a severe thunderstorm with lots of lightning.
