Approaching one inch now... currently at .95 here in North Bend.

We have had about 30 times as much rain as R-Dub this morning!!

We have now had about 3.50 inches in the last 10 days. I would say the threat of forest fires is dropping around here at this point.

Looking at the latest 12Z run of the GFS... we will not have a true sunny, warm day until at least the middle of April.

Like I said before... when this is over we can probably kiss the drought goodbye!!

Crossed the inch mark... 1.05 and climbing.

We already have 20% of my predicted 5 inches for the week here in North Bend!!

Yeah! I am getting in on the rain this time. So far Covington has had 0.65" and it's coming down pretty good. It would appear that the rain shadow is further south than normal today. Interesting to note, that generally when these baroclinic bands come through with the rain shadow to the south, it usually means a period of well below normal temperatures is coming.

It continues to look like two or three strong cold fronts will come through in the next week. Each one is suppossed to usher in 850mb temps of -5 to -7C. At day 5 or so an area of -30 850mb temps is progged to drop to extreme southern Alaska! That is AMAZINGLY cold for this time of year. I am hoping that such cold air dropping over the ocean will able to generate some really wild stuff!

Looks like White Pass is just a little too far south and a little too warm. Looks like its raining up there.

A few rays of sun up here right now, neighbors kids playing in the back yard, pleasant day! But only in this narrow shadow! Everyone else is getting hammered!!

Wow! I fugured the mountains would get some snow before it changed over to rain, but not this much! Very exciting. It would apppear that the brief warmup will do little more than melt the new snow. After that they get snow, snow, and more snow. This event will really help fill the reservoirs, and leave a nice snowpack. PERFECT!

Edit: Steven's Pass is getting hammered! They had 3 inches between 8:00am and 9:00am, and it is still coming down like crazy. The camera up there is getting so much snow on the lens you can hardly see anything. They had 30 inches on the ground as of 9:00am. It may be interesting to make a trip up there sometime next week.

Unbelievable! Snoqualmie Pass eastbound is closed now. It looks wild up there!

Looks like traffic is moving again at Snoqualmie Pass.

We are now at 1.25 for the day.

It appears that Sea-Tac will break their precipitation record for the day. The need another .16 to break it so it should happen soon.

Take that back... traffic is not moving at all. There are no cars on the eastbound side because it closed!!

Still dry, but windy at the moment TT. Like you say though, looking at the radar the Shadow seems to be filling.

Warming up with a temp of 48 degrees. Was 44 just a half hr ago!
