Never in all my time of living here in NWFL have I seen hail that big. I was shocked this morning when I looked out my window and saw that stuff falling from the sky.

About 10 minutes ago it was really bad outside, torrential rain, lightning every 5 seconds and a constant 35-45mph wind. It's bad out there folks.

I've never observed hail that big. In my 49 years the biggest hail I've seen is golfball. That occured when I was a kid in New Orleans and my Mom was driving us to Sears (before the mall was invented). It was a pretty good hail storm with a good couple of inches of hail on the ground.....MGC

This is, by a long shot, not over with in Pensacola, even though you've seen 2 or 3 rounds of severe wx now. The boundary I have been worrying about is working it's way slowly northwards and there are 2 large supercells that appear to be tornadic out over the ocean at the moment, one crossing the MS delta, the other south of Mobile as of this writing. These are right-movers heading ENE towards the Pensacola area, and the first one should be there in an hour or two. It has a very impressive hook, but it is a little too far from the radar to see the shear (to see if there is a TVS/tornado) in this area. They have everything going for them, and are on the nose of a developing low-level jet. Do not go anywhere this evening without having a radio or tv nearby - these are very nasty storms.

Also, stay as calm as you can, if you follow the rules, you should be OK.

I got my flashlights and my closet is clean!I guess the only good thing about these storms is that their moving pretty quick, today they've only lasted 10-15 minutes.

Nothing weather wise happening here. It is 8:32 p.m. and it has not even rained at all here in the Houma-Thibodaux area. I don't even see nothing showing up on radar. I think everything will pass well to my north and east. I don't even remember the last time I saw hail or anything really severe here. Usually everything misses us. We did have a tornado touch down here though about 5 years ago.
