It's coming WAY too fast but I'm prepared for it. I wouldn't get caught unprepared like I did last year with Charley.

I must say I am looking forward to the upcoming season.

I still see damage from last year as I drive through Central Florida everyday. My neighbors roof was fixed just two weeks ago. I got used to seeing the blue tarp. I wonder if we get another cat 1 or 2 just how many trees would go down this year compared to last? You would think anything left was pruned and younger , stronger rooted.

BRING IT ON! :)

Bring on hurricane season 2005.. Plus.. I wanna try my forecasting abilities again this year and see if I can do all right..

Remember last year when most of ya thought I was nuts that Jeanne would do a loop and hit Fla

I wouldn't be so happy to bring on the hurricane season being a Wal-Mart associate. I remember unloading pallets of water (one truck with 20 PALLETS of water  ), batteries, flashlights. And another thing, they wont let you go home until it is almost too late. I remember when Lili was coming, they wanted to stay open. The store manager says "Well I lived in Texas, it is not gonna be bad, yada yada yada." They finally closed it when it was almost too late. I didn't get any sleep that night cause after I got home, I had to run calls with the fire dept.

Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted here last time, but by April I'll be entering this forum. The winter forum I can say has lost its people because its completely over. Plus this one dude is always on my case, he never even takes my opinions into consideration, I hope it's different once I become a regular member of the forum.

Only 62 days left is incredible. I remember when I saw this thread and the countdown was I think 118 or 119 days until the season.

Unfortunately I will be in Europe during the season so I will miss a lot. Hopefully the storms can hold off just like 2004 so I can be here when the storms really fire up, I'm leaving July 1st and returning August 22nd so I think I will return right in the middle of the season which is good. I really want the storms to wait until early August, but that's probably unlikely.

What do you think?

poking in to say hello

#89 Postby Weatherboy1 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 5:19 pm

Well, now that it's April and Dr. Gray's forecast is out, I figure I'll be poking in every so often to say hello and see what's going on. I hope everyone made it through winter okay and is looking forward to another season of late nights watching WAY too many satellite loops and model runs!

When you consider then that is only about 43 days until the E. Pacific hurricane season begins it seems even closer. Only a short distance from one to the other.

Wow time has moved very rapidly as it was the other day that I made this countdown thread with 120 days left and now we are down to 50 days left.
