This is just silly now.
We have received 1.05 inches of rain SO FAR today after finishing yesterday with 1.01 inches.
So... to update the totals here in North Bend.
1.05 inches today
5.56 inches since Saturday morning
8.06 inches since March 16th
WOW.
8+ inches of rain in 2 weeks.
We have exceed my prediction of 5 inches for the week and its only Tuesday!!!!!!
And the snow.
The pictures from Snoqualmie Pass are incredible. They have received 16 inches so far today after getting 14+ inches over the weekend.
Unbelievable.
An almost impossible pattern shift so late in the season. I sense "Divine Intervention"!!
BTW - winter is NOT over here. We are finally getting winter weather now!!

INCREDIBLE! The convergence zone is blasting down through western Snohomish and King Counties like I have never seen before. I can honestly say, I have never seen it move south so quickly! WOW! The radar shows some severe weather in there too! With any bit of luck it will make it down to south King County.

Got a couple of pics of our massive downpour from earlier. Didn't get the lightning though, was a little too quick for me
will post those later.
Looking at the radar it seems like I am getting closed in on quickly on another round of moderate precip! Temp has spiked up to 46 now with the sun being out!

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SEATTLE WA 230 PM PST TUE MAR 29 2005
DISCUSSION...NICE CONVERGENCE ZONE GAVE KPAE-KSEA THUNDER LIGHTNING AND HAIL EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON. STORM HAS MOVED OFF INTO THE CASCADES AND RADAR SHOWS IT DISSIPATING. WINDS COMING BACK AROUND TO SOUTHERLY AND EXPECT MORE PSCZS THROUGH THE EVENING. THEN CLEARING OVERNIGHT AS A SHORT WAVE RIDGE TAKES HOLD. SHOULD BE A DRY WEDNESDAY EXCEPT FOR A CHANCE OF MOUNTAIN SHOWERS AND PERHAPS A LITTLE RAIN STARTING IN THE WEST PART LATE. OTHER INTERESTING THINGS TODAY...SNOW ADVISORY FOR THE CASCADES TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT...MAINLY DUE TO CONVERGENCE ZONE SNOW. HIGH SURF ROLLED INTO THE COAST THIS AFTERNOON...EXPECT SEVERAL MORE HOURS OF ABOUT 20 FOOT SEAS THERE

Well, we didn't have any hail, lighting or gusty winds (although we did have pretty breezy winds throughout the day, gusting to around 23mph), but we did have a pretty good rain squal about a half hour ago.
Too bad the C Zone is already shifting off to the east, it would have been fun if it sticked around a bit longer.

Here in Woodinville, our gusty winds and rain came shortly after 1pm, and even had a couple short rain squalls of slanting rain. There was also some tiny hail mixed in with the rain, but melted right away when hitting the ground. Heard a couple rumbels of thunder, but didn`t see any lightning. Short time later, skies cleared for a little bit to make for some great cloud shots, before quickly becomeing partly cloudy.
Here`s some pics I shot of the stormy weather that came through my area in all about a 45min to hours time. -- Andy

The latest 18Z run of the GFS shows a continuous stormy pattern over us for the next 2 weeks.
Of course there will be a few nice breaks between storms (like tomorrow and most of Thursday) but generally the storms will keep coming.
As for today...
We had thunder and hail here as well.
We are at 1.30 inches of rain for the day.
5.81 inches for the week.
