severe weather in midlands of sc

#1 Postby brandybugg4180 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 3:19 am

Once again just like last time we are in the moderate risk as predicted by spc. however last time they removed us from that and placed the midlands of sc in the slight risk area. We got very gusty winds and heavy rain some thunder and lightning further south there was a potential tornado or either very strong winds. My question once again...what will be the main threat here?

I am in N Myrtle Beach, and we are probably going to get about the same weather: Heavy rain tonight totaling 2 or more inches, very windy, thunder storms with a few severe imbedded ones. I am most concerned about flooding. I have to deliver papers tonight, and it doesn't take a whole lot of rain here to create a bad flooding situation. I have waded knee deep in water several times along the ocean front to get the papers delivered. Going to be a fun Saturday morning!
