First off, great pictures Andy. I especially like the 12th Picture in the set you have posted. It shows the storm clouds building up and looks pretty cool.
Today, we have had a wind gust so far to 24mph, with minimal sustained winds (compared to Anthony). We have been having the same thing happening with the winds kicking and and then dying down every few minutes.
We recorded 0.26" of rain this morning, with more hopefully for tonight.
I should get my digital camera tommorow, so I am anxious about starting to post my own pictures from the Kent East Hill area.

Actually, as of 1:20PM, mount baker's running total was 29 new inches... The base at the top lodge is 97 inches now... with 84 at the lower base... 29 new inches.. THATS AMAZING... WITH MORE COMING... AND I AM GOING UP THERE ON SUNDAY... CAN'T WAIT...
Awesome cloud pics by the way...
It was really nice here like 5 minutes ago and the sun was poking through the clouds and things were quite brite... I started to hear a really loud pounding, looked outside and it was pooring... Intense. I love it.

The snow level still hasn't lowered to the Snoqualmie Pass level. They are currently experiencing a rain/snow mix. A weak short wave is rotating into the WA coast as I speak, but it's doing very little. Latest NWS discussion does not mention a thunderstorm threat because cloud tops aren't popping.
Tomorrow might be a decent day...esp. in the morning. PERFECT for skiing, snowboarding. Unfortunately I can't go up this weekend, but hopefully one day next week...cough, cough...I feel a cold coming on!! lol.
Hopefully the mountains can pick up another 6-12 inches before they officially open tomorrow morning.
Anthony
Winds have substantially subsided the past two hours. Gusts are not exceeding 20 mph.

Here is the latest snowpack information compared to normal...
http://www.nwac.us/products/CLISNO
What a HUGE improvement. As a whole... the Cascades are running at about 40-45% of normal. That is up from about 5% of normal on March 15th.
I bet they will be closer to 80% by April 15th. We are going to get hit numerous times in the next 2 weeks at a time when the average snowpack for this time of year will be dropping.
That cannot be classified as a devastating drought.

Wow, we just had a hailstorm. It has been quite a while since we had one of those. It only lasted a few minutes but was neat to see.
The winds have substantially increased since the hailstorm hit, sustained at around 15mph and we just had our biggest gust so far today at 27mph a few minutes ago.
Cool stuff.

Hi folks! Just came back in again, and winds still pretty breezy/gusty with winds still gusting to near 20mph! Also had a light shower a few minutes ago, but was very short. Looks like a round of moderate rain could be heading my way.
PS: W13 and brennan...thanks for the comments on my pics!

Oh no, i just missed the storm. The storm hit here while i was sleepimg. When i woke up, i saw everything was so shinning because of the sun. The storm is in the east of my house right now. That storm is so dark. There is a little good news for me because another storm is in the west include southwest. That storm should come here anytime.
-Partly Sunny and breezy to windy with a temp of 43 degrees.

The wind has once again increased drastically...gusts up to 30 mph. A few small branches are littered across the ground, but nothing big. Not too much rain this afternoon...a little bit of a rain shadow. The next shortwave is on top of Western Washington...just took a look at the latest pass cams and Snoqualmie has finally transitioned to snow...Stevens has heavy snow with big accumulation. AWESOME SKI WEEKEND!!
