Looking for historical weather information.....

#1 Postby weathermom » Mon Apr 04, 2005 8:44 am

Does anyone know where I can find records of rainfall amounts from previous years, by day? Also, is there similar information available of river gauge heights from past years? Specifically I am looking for information on the Ramapo River in New Jersey, preferably the Pompton Lakes gauge. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi "Mom" -

On-line, search for the county government web-site that
the Pompton Lakes are in, and link on to their flood-control dept., and do the same for the Ramapo River.

If this is not available, go to the Federal flood-control
web site for your area.

Out here in Arizona, the counties' web sites give this
info, etc.
