Here are some cloud pics that I took while at the local Elementary School/Park:

"Hopefully this will bring our monthly rainfall total to near normal."
Aren't we exceeding our monthly rainfall already?
And it's not 59F here...it's currently 51F with partly cloudy conditions. There's still alot of activity just offshore and in the southwest interior. The only hinderance is a westerly flow...the olympics are creating a rainshadow in the main Puget Sound. Yesterday's activity came from the southwest direction.
This weekend's storm looks very wet and powerful for the middle of April.

Any chance at a wind storm with this weekend's storm?

W13,
No widespread windstorm this weekend as the surface low heads into central BC...but the pressure is very low...985 mb. That's a strong surface low for the middle of April. There could be marginal high winds for the northwest interior and north WA coast...but nothing to write home about.

I don't know where all of your warm temps are coming from... The high here was 53* and now its back down to 46 and it hasn't rained at all today... There is just some broken clouds hanging around and it even looks sort of hazy. This trough we are under is really quite nice, the only thing is that it has traveled so far over the ocean that the air isn't quite as cold. Now if we had this same sized trough only it came in more from the north it would be much colder, probably somewhat similar to 1972, but instead it came in from the northwest... Even more so the west at first.

Check out the cell. I'm just a little south and east of the point (crosshairs) so I should be just a few miles from it.

Hey all!
Think it was Justin and Andrew that were saying that they are seeing some dark clouds right now. Well no dark clouds in my area. But looking SW to West late this afternoon...and out toward the Olympics, it looked a bit dark with some thick cirrus being blown off the high cloud tops.
Here`s just a few pics I took of some cumulus congetus, swelling cumulus, and cumulonimbus clouds that were near the Cascade foot hills.
Enjoy!! Any body eles seeing any of these clouds like I saw today?
