We reached the mid to upper 70s throughout the Omaha metro area, with 77 at the official Eppley airport reporting point; NWS Valley had 75. Mostly sunny skies with a few high clouds was the rule Sunday.

What do we have instore for the start of the school and work week?

Well, Mostly sunny skies for Monday with highs in the lower 80s! :)
Tuesday is expected to be cooler with highs in the lower 70s. Along with that, we have achance of thunderstorms. As of now, the new Day 2outlook has eastern Nebraska and parts of surrounding states in a slight risk for severe weather.

A wet Wednesday with highs near 50 will give way to warming temperatures towards next weekend with dry conditions.

Drying out today, river has just gone back into its banks. Major flooding around North Jersey this past weekend. Fortunately the river only came about halfway up my backyard, nothing in the house for me this time, though some of my neighbors weren't so fortunate. Next rain forecast for Thursday/Friday, anybody want to give me a guess as to how much is coming?

A very nice evening right now. Unfortunately, I am inside doing some school work (COLLEGE). Message to those younger members planning to attend college: be prepared to deal with school work 7 days a week!

Anyway, partly cloudy skies with southeast breeze will be complimented by lows ONLY falling to about 50.

Saturday, It will be windy with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures should press the middle 70s before clouds increase and thunderstorms begin to enter the picture Saturday night through Monday. Some of the storms Saturday night and Sunday could even be severe. Highs Sunday will be near 70; Monday's highs slightly cooler in the mid 60s.

General rain showers are anticipated to continue Tuesday and Wednesday. A brief break from the wet weather for Thursday, with more storms coming back in for Friday. Highs will be generally 60s.

I'm out here on the south bay of Los Angeles...near Pt. Vincente lighthouse on Rancho Palos Verdes. That's where my two grandgirls live with their mom and dad.

We had a very roudy marine layer blow in just before dark last night with dense fog and low clouds and winds in excess of 45 mph for an extended time. Things were flying around the neighborhood!

Sunny this morning and breezy already, but there are warnings up for more gusty winds as they day progresses.

A wild weekend to babysit...but maybe we'll get down to Redondo Beach before the waves are over the girl's heads. Emma wants to try to build a sand castle...but it may have to be single story with rock foundation to withstand the wind!!
