The Fronts Keep Coming
Last weekend I had the feeling that the summer pattern would set up really soon, and the temps would be on the increase. But no, yet another cold front is coming. This one looks like it will cause some record temps down here for the 24th. Upper 40's wouldnt surprise me. Thats just unheard of this time of the year down here. Also, the temps are running about 4-5 degrees below average. Not sure what any of this has to do with the rapidly approaching hurricane season, just a few thoughts to throw around.

Yep Scorpion.. Another front set to come through Friday/Saturday and drop our temps again.. A little surprising to me as well.. Average temps for central Florida this time of year is about 83.. We have been a good 5 or so degrees below that so far this month (last couple of days being the exception)
Here are the forecasted Lows for this weekend

scorpio, glad you posted this topic. I actually posted something similar about a week ago and I was ready to post another topic on this. You beat me to it! Remember, the fronts last year were strong too, not as strong, but strong nonetheless. We had fronts pushing into central Florida in June!
If these fronts keep coming like this, the Gulf and Atlantic coastal waters will not have a chance to warm...which will keep the beginning of Hurricane season quite

How quickly we forget. This April is no cooler than last year in Central Florida. A comparison of the low temperatures recorded in Orlando (MCO) for the period of April 13-April 19 shows that last year actually had COLDER morning lows than we have experienced this year.
--------------2004-------------------2005
April 13------59----------------------60
April 14------50----------------------54
April 15------49----------------------53
April 16------49----------------------53
April 17------56----------------------53
April 18------55----------------------53
April 19------59----------------------56
The bottom line.....this year is not seeing any more fronts pass through than last year. We are not seeing an unusually cold pattern that will have any effect on the upcoming hurricane season.

I will take this pleasent weather thanks!!!!!
I love the cool evenings and warm sunny days... I enjoy being outside minus the sweating, only annoyance is the wind, spoils my beach days
Enjoy it while it lasts folks... I HATE Florida's summers, I just thank the Lord the beach is much cooler thanks to the ol seabreeze, otherwise I would have moved a long time ago.

Me too. I dread summer. So hot...so miserable. When it's retirement time, I'm headed for N. Florida. Shorter hot season, more seasonal change.
