El Nino ?'s

1.If one was underway right now how long before it would be fully developed?

2.What part of the Atlantic Basin does El Nino induced shear affect?

3.Is there a lag with an El Nino?Do the effects that an El Nino produces that causes changes all over the planet begin immediately or does it take time?

I think EL Nino produces very high shear in the Atlantic basin during hurricane season preventing upward draft to feed the storm. This is just a guess I could be way off.I also think that their is a 2 to 3 month delay of El Nino from onset.

El Ninos usually take till the fall to fully develope

El Niños can develop and reach moderate proportions prior to autumn. Some examples include 1965, 1982, 1991, and 1994.
