Well, WXMan57 and Watkins et al seem to be right- the east Pacific is now starting to cool back off from its rampage towards warm conditions. I check that darned NCODA map every day about this time and have been quite depressed about what it showed. Not today! Look at it now-

I don't have an animation of it- but trust me, it looks like cooler waters are beginning to prevail again- and at least the warming has all but ceased.
Hopefully I won't jinx it by posting this!

The aussies but more Noaa with their updates this week confirm what wxman57 and Mike said and weeks back I made my forecast for ENSO ( Read it at Tropical Anaylist Forum)saying the same thing.So Mark I think you will have plenty of work this season.
