Thank you for all of the well wishes and kind words. I will pass them all on to Brandon.

David - I am sorry my friend! I didn't' mean to do that to you. I was still reeling when I posted this.

My family is grateful that the wound was not more serious. If this is the worst we have to deal with - we'll take it.

Thanks again for all of the support and WONDERFUL words.

I don't know any other words to say that haven't been said already, but tell Brandon to hang in there and hope he is feeling better soon and thanks to you and your family for making your sacrifices in having him serve our great country as well as to him! May God watch over him and protect him and keep him safe.

Mary, he will recover in Baghdad. It is my understanding that he will finish his tour. Get this - HE WANTS TO STAY. His unit is stretched thin from the hit they took in January. I just sat there and held his baby SO TIGHT.

I'm so glad that the wound wasn't life-threatening.

Brandon is a very brave, and special man.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I spoke with Brandon again this morning, he is doing well and chomping at the bit to get back to doing missions. lol - he doesn't see what the big deal is. What can I say - that's my boy!

Well, I am exceedingly glad that he's okay, and eager to get back to active duty. God bless him.

I am sorry that Brandon was shot but I am glad that it is not life threatening. I pray that he will recover with no problems and finish his tour with no more losses to his unit.
