Does anyone know anything about the Civil Service test?

#1 Postby cajungal » Mon May 09, 2005 3:20 pm

I want to go take my civil service test this week in New Orleans. I went to the website and they say I will need my drivers licence and a social security card. Both which I have. They also say that a S-10 application is required. What is that? I went to the website and they say nothing else about it. I don't want to drive an hour drive for nothing. Can't you just get the application form at the testing site? I don't have a job lined up or anything. But, after my vacation from Sears in August, I desperatly want another job. I am going to try at the Child Support Office. And the requirements is to pass the civil service. Please if anyone has taken this test or knows anything more about it, please tell me. Thanks

Maybe they meant the SF-10?

http://www.dscs.state.la.us/default.htm
Click "testing information" in the menu on the left side of the screen.
Then click "list of all civil service tests"
Then click "application" where it says in the first line "A completed State Pre-Employment Application (SF-10), a picture ID and proof of your Social Security Number are all you need to bring to one of our testing centers and take any written exam.

Shortcut: http://www.civilservice.louisiana.gov/f ... cation.htm

Good luck! :)

Okay. I went to Acrobat acobe and printed the application. So, I fill that out and bring it with me to the testing site, right? I tried MS Word and it was not printing right at all.
