Like I said, I saw it and still have it on my DVR. Nobody here "created" this -- System of a Down and NBC did.

Well, we usually record SNL each week. For some reason, last week's didn't record. We must have cancelled a rerun recording but accidently deleted the weekly timer. When I told my two teenage daughters what happened, they both said - big deal. Not that we utter that word around here much but it doesn't offend them either. At school they hear it a lot, not during class, but students' free time it's said a lot. I don't think this generation growing up is offended by the F bomb. They think that is so funny too - when an aghast teacher says the F Bomb was said......I think they enjoy the reactions this word gets, more than it being said.

Just a reflection of what today's teens think.

I guess in the scheme of things, I don't see the harm in this getting past censors. We are talking about SNL here, and it airs late.

Now if this had been said on 7th Heaven Or Everybody Loves Raymond, then there would be more shock value. It just didn't bother me when I read it happened on SNL.

And my kids wish we had it on tape just to see it. They must have watched Ashley Simpson's screw up a dozen times, laughing each time at her hoedown dance.

To me it is not a matter of how "bad" the word is. I use it in "appropriate" company myself. My problem with it on the tube is that it is not "accepted" in "polite" company and it certainly holds no entertainment value for me as a word at least!

Kevin you go on about the 27,000 children who die each day from starvation. Are you doing anything about it or just "complaining" about it to make a point? do you volunteer at your local food bank, make donations to the appropriate agencies of your time, etc.?

My point is we all have different things that set us off and it is up to no one else to judge whether we are right or wrong especially when all we are doing is stating an opinion of how we felt about something.

Well said, David!

I believe we've already discussed volunteerism here a while back. If each person could donate time and/or money to at least one cause (if not, more), just think what a difference it can make when several people do. There are numerous causes out there about which we are all concerned. Every little bit that someone pitches in is a drop in a bigger bucket of relief to those in need.

Mary -- I can tape it for you if you'd like. Besides, I just remembered, I found a couple of classic TV guides with Dallas in them. You interested? :)

Give it a rest, folks. You are CREATING things to be upset about, just to have an excuse to gripe.

I haven't seen anyone screaming. I have seen discussion...is this not what is suppose to be done on this forum? or do I have the wrong definition?
