I, and generations of my family before me, helped to publicly fund the decades of research that has provided the advanced weather prediction tools of today.

This information has no impact on national security so I believe it should be made available to all citizens. There is no advantage to privatizing this collection of data, except to the private companies that are lobbying to control it.
