May=Dry

#1 Postby boca » Wed May 11, 2005 8:29 am

Other than the first 3 days of May the rest of May should be dry for Florida. High pressure aloft doesn't want to budge any time soon. Fresh East winds make me wonder if the Bermuda high is back again. Still to early to know yet,but its looking like it so far.

The Bermuda High will have minimal impact on the hurricane season. Just wait and see,

Awfully dry here as well in SW Louisiana, as in many other areas as well. Local met said the other day that the only rain we can count on at the moment might come from the tropics. Hmmm, we'll have to wait and see. :sun:

Stormchasr, if you can predict the weather like that I'll pay you money to keep it dry for my son's 7th birthday on June 26th. :lol:

Yes, as I expected the first few wet days in May were short-lived. The ridge has established itself over the Southeast U.S. Very Dry here in South Florida since with E winds steadily becoming more dominant. I see no reason why we won't see glimpses of last year's Bermuda High dominance show up again starting this month....

Okay, I'll play. The Bermuda High's position, strength, etc. has an impact on every season. Sometimes it's farther out to sea, sometimes it ridges into the SE US. But rather than discounting those who question you as disaster promoters (like you know it all), why don't you provide information such as what you are basing this on. Somebody might actually take the comment seriously if you have something plausible to add.
