Special prayer request for my mother

#1 Postby Skywatch_NC » Thu May 12, 2005 1:24 pm

Dear S2KPrayerWarriors,

I would grately appreciate your prayers for my mother...her name is Joyce...as she has umbilical hernia surgery tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 1 pm ET. My Dad will be taking her to Wake Medical Center and they have to be at the hospital at 11 am ET. She will be there overnight Friday at least one night in post-op to see how she'll be...she has a weight problem...not morbidly obese...but heavy-set so we're praying and hoping there won't be any complications...and for a smooth recuperation. Also, this particular surgeon doesn't use the lathryscope method for hernia repair...so there will be more recovery time.

Thank you so very much my Wonderful S2K Family! :)

Love and God Bless You,

Eric

PS: I will keep you updated on her progress!

Eric,

You got it! I will pray for Joyce, your dear mother. Hoping her surgery goes smoothly and her recovery time is quick. I know you're worried. We're always worried about my mom too. The older she's become, the less active and the more weight she's put on. Any medical procedure she faces requires more heal time. For what it's worth, I've found the medical profession has accepted this and gently try to encourage our parents' generation to remain active. The doctors and nurses my mom has had, have been very patient. They know how to handle geriatric patients, quite well. Better than their own children at times!

Please let us know how she does Eric. Thinking of you...

Mary

Eric, the prayers are on their way for the surgeons hands to be guided by God and for your mother's quick and full recovery as well as for comfort for you and your Dad.

Thank you very much, David, Shawn and Luis! ((((HUGS))))

Sure will...also, she's often had a problem with constipation...and with part of her bowel involved with this hernia situation...needing to get flushed out before surgery...and then getting her plumbing (putting it nicely) waken up afterwards...could be a while in getting things back to square one so to say.

I will certainly say a special prayer for your mother. I'm sure that everything will be fine. Remember that someone in Louisiana is praying for her.

Eric...you have been there for so many of us in time of need. And so now it is Joyce's turn for our help in return.

I am perhaps 2500 miles from you in distance, but close to you in heart. You are one of a kind who should know that a prayer was said on behalf of your mother and you here at my keyboard in Phoenix.

We will be there with you in spirit as you await the results and hopefully hear all the good news.

Steve, Kathy, and our family
