Yes James on the 15th it all starts at the EPAC.It will be interesting to see how the season at that basin turns out in terms of activity.

I wonder if the EPAC will at least get to 16 storms this year. That's the average amount.
The last time was 2003. Although no majors formed. The last majorless EPAC season was 1977.
However, 2003 was interesting because the first 8 named storms never reached hurricane status. Then Ignacio ended that streak and 7 of the last 8 storms became hurricanes.
Quite a comeback.
2004 was a decent year for the EPAC. Darby, Howard, and Javier became majors.
It was the 3rd consecutive time that Darby was a major hurricane. Darby was also a major in 1992 and 1998.

Anxiety when I was younger concern as I have aged. Last year should have brought reality to all of us. The world was changed forever for many Floridians. An awakeing and a lesson for all in hurricane prone areas. Not to put a damper on the upcoming season but lets hope for an inactive landfall season. Hopefully it will be the season of the fish however I am a little concerned the GOM will be the center of activity.
