Next week will be a doozy.

Did ya notice the port-a-potties at the construction site where The Joshua Carter clinic was being built? They said, "Oui Oui" on the front. :) Get it...wee-wee.

Tonight's ep was stressful. Almost everyone fouled up majorly. What was up with that? Was it Kristin, Chris, and Brian (Tana's team) in disguise?

The only really worthwhile thing to watch tonight was Joey. It was a completely off-night for ER.

I thought it was an odd show too. So many screw ups. And one caused a death.

I was starting to like the rocker-dude-doc. Susan came down so hard on him!

And just where is this Admin. office anyway? You would never have seen Mark Greene asking to have it cleared out, so he could have it painted. NEVER! Oh how I miss him....

Next week's show will be hard to get thru. I know I'll cry. I started to at the promo's for next week!

Haven't watched Joey yet....we are backed up 3 Joey episodes now! Can you believe it? LOL

You're better off than I am. Somehow, I have to keep up with the May sweeps shows and finales AND watch both "Phantom Menace" and "Attack of the Clones" before next weekend.

I really didn't get picked up by all the hype when those two hit the big screen. I just didn't think they'd compare to the originals and how "cool" they were back then. I'm told that was a mistake, because watching on a small screen just won't be as impressive. But at least I'll get an idea of everyone's background and stuff. I do want to see this one because it leads up to where "Star Wars" kicks off (or, at least, it makes sense that it's supposed to).

And I have $50 in free movie tix, so I'm thinking, why not make the most of it and go see "Revenge of the Sith?" :)

Sherry Stringfield quits ER, again.....what next?

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Entertainment/

Oh brother, I think I will just have to give up ER. I won't know any of the characters!

They've haven't really given her much of a storyline since she got back anyway.

I guess this time, it's really happening....

ROFLMAO!!!!

Yep, the shark is circling, big-time.

I think we need to rename the show....to either:

ER2

or

The Show Formerly Known as ER

Sigh......I miss Mark Greene! There, I said it, I'll always miss his character. When another original cast member leaves, I think of my favorite ER character, of all time, Mark Greene. The heart and soul of that show.

So I guess when Anthony Edwards left, the shark was circling. Then when Noah left, it was about to strike? Today with Sherry S. leaving, it's a done deal. It jumped, my final answer. Yep, ER has finally jumped the shark.

ER bit the big one for me when they had Romano die with a helicopter falling on him. Attack of the evil copters, first an arm, then...whatever.

And Romano always was/will be that gangly red-afro'ed kid from Fame to me.

Haven't watched yet but I will today. Previews looked great! So the shark has left......that's good. This show seems to keep chugging right along.

So Sally from 3rd Rock has joined the cast!!! I always liked her but from what I saw, her ER character will be very take charge and different from her Sally character on 3rd Rock.

I'll comment later.......

*Edit.....started watching ER and got as far as the burn victim. Eve and Luca at odds. Got a phone call....grrrrr. Then got online to find TV Guide's Friday morning critique....it's a good one, very thorough for a change, loved the first line!!!! LOL

TV Guide

ER
Does this show have room for two beeyotches? They already have Kerry Weaver. Now there's Kristen Johnson as Eve, the new nurse manager that everybody hates. I started out loving her since I tend to flock towards the "female dogs" and then when she was mean to my Luka, I hated her. I briefly forgave her when she and Luka seemed to patch things up. But when Eve told Sam she didn't want her to work the same shift as Luka, I was back to hating her. Loved when Sam compared her to Yoda. Kristen does a great job regardless. I was never a 3rd Rock fan, but she was nice to me the one time I met her.

Very freaky beginning, with the unidentified burn victim running into the hospital himself. But nothing was more scary than the abusive father lunging towards his ex-wife after realizing their son was probably dead. Poor Luka. It was bad enough he didn't go back to the boy sooner, but it was even worse that Eve was right. Nice work from Jessica Hecht (Ross' ex-wife's wife on Friends) as the woman reluctantly getting the double mastectomy. Speaking of which, how about Abby seeing Dr. Dubenko getting examined in the oncology lab? No wonder he was Crabby Spice earlier. And does Abby want Luka back? Since she got to see his new bachelor pad, you know I'm dying once again to ask if he lives on the second floor.

Three final random items. First, could Morris be any more annoying? When he said "Oy!" to the Jewish patient, I was like "No he didn't." Second, that was the barely recognizable Sasha Mitchell from Step By Step back as the bartender at the end. One scene. One line. I guess you gotta get work somewhere, but boy how the mighty hath fallen. And finally, as a former Chicagoan, I love when I hear actual hometown references on the show. When Pratt wanted to send a pizza to Gallant in Iraq, I screamed "Yes!" when the absolute best pizza in Chicago was recommended: "Lou Malnati's — they overnight." Trust me – they are the best and available easily on the internet! — Dave Anderson

I absolutely adore her! She reminds me of a surgeon I used to work with at UK -- tall, blonde, and brilliant.

I'm wondering about Dubenko and Abby. If there's one person I can't stand (besides Morris), it's Dubenko. I really hope they don't get him together with Abby. And I'm praying they never, ever get Morris together with anyone! I couldn't stand to watch.

I have my suspicions about with whom they *might* pair Peyton romantically, but it's a long way away and would take a bit of character development to get it there. But there is one character who hasn't had a romance in a while.

They mentioned Susan last night but I wonder if we'll get to see a send-off or if Sherry Stringfield is actually gone already. :(

Yes, a few days ago, just forgot to reply here. Oops!

Eve's a real winner isn't she? Whoa, in their faces during a trauma? She did apologize to Luca though but made it impossible for Sam to get daycare. There goes the kid again, off to visit his dad in prison! We could pair Eve up with Lynette's biotchy boss on DH, couldn't we? Never thought I'd prefer Kerry's style......LOL

Dubenko, no never liked him either. A cutter. Thru and thru. Worked for surgeons, remember so some I know lack a bedside manner. Benton didn't have much of one either, but once his son was born handicapped he seemed to mellow out a bit and begin to understand why patients are worried about surgeries. I was surprised he was being checked by an Onc though. Watch Abby try to befriend him, ugh. Please no, nooooo. I don't want to see Luca back with Abby but it was nice seeing the two of them more friendly now.

I can't stand Morris. He went too far making those crude Jewish references, singing a holy prayer too. It won't be long but someone's gonna really hurt him.

Neela and the pics....too funny. You knew Frank was gonna eat that pizza though, come on!

All in all the show held my interest. I am amazed ER keeps chugging right along.

Susan who?

I'll just never say Greene who....or Carter who? They WERE ER!

I watched the first half of ER, I had to DVR it cause I had to work, and by the time I finally got around to watching it, I was soooo mad! Someone stopped the recording of it 32 minutes into the show! So I guess I will have to wait till next week to see what I missed... I threatened everyone with their lives if they touch the tv again while its recording!!! GGRR!! :grrr:

I hate when that happens!

What you missed.....

No one likes the new head nurse, Eve. She made it mandatory that Luca and Sam no longer work the same shift.

Neela was sending a care package to Gallant in Iraq, with pics from coworkers back in the ER, a pizza they were going to dry ice but Frank ate it, and suggestive pics of her. Abby was taking them.

Abby befriended Luca, ran into him at a bar/hangout after their shift. He had too much to drink, she made sure he got home okay. Nothing romantic happened. Just one friend helping another. Luca seems to be having a harder time with the breakup than Sam is.

Dubenko reprimanded a group in the ER for calling him down for a non-surgical case. Quite rudely. Later Abby sees him in Oncology, being examined (throat, neck area) by an Onc, in a room. Clearly Dubenko was the patient.

Morris is going to hang himself. He's still very rude to everyone. Absolutely no one likes him. A patient asked one of the staff, who's that, they said Chief Resident, patient - said, no seriously, who is that? Made you wonder if he has another shady side. Wouldn't be surprised. Let's hope he turns out to be someone unfit for the ER and ship his sorry arse outta there. I do miss Carter.

Oh yeah, Pratt met his dad, his half brother and sister. And his dad's wife. His dad was reaching out to him saying this is your family now. Pratt said no, that is your family.

Yankeegirl - you're welcome!

Here's a site that hopefully soon will have a full synopsis of the episode you missed half of:

http://www.tv.com/er/man-with-no-name/e ... mmary.html

I'm still in the dark on the That 70s Finale last May! I thought it was a half hour show, it was an hour. We of course didn't see the last half, since I didn't program it. There was a rerun over the summer which suggested something big we missed, I have no clue though. I know Eric left for Africa. And Kelso is leaving at some point this year but that's as far as I got! If you watch it, fill me in. This season's premiere isn't until Nov. 2nd.

Did you guys catch last night's ER episode? By far, the best of the season...although I was pretty darned happy when Neela and Michael got married! James Woods was brilliant and the writing was up to par. It was nice to hear mentions of Mark Greene and Deb Chen (even though I wasn't a fan of hers) in the flashbacks.

Next week is definitely a MUST SEE, Mary! If you didn't catch the previews, I'm not sure if I should give anything away.

I kinda still wish Eve was there though.

Will & Grace was pretty good too! :)

Duckie - haven't had a chance to fully watch last night's episode. It was pretty busy around here at 10. The episode looked heavy and I couldn't get into it with family underfoot, a rough draft for Laura's term paper due today, etc. I just said, no I will watch when I'm home alone - when is that though? LOL Getting steady work hours now, which is good. But my TV viewing time is greatly reduced.

Thanks for the heads up on the previews. Now I want to fast forward thru the DVR recording to watch them! I bet they're about Carter?!!!!

Can I say it one more time - I still miss Mark Greene! Even more than Doug Ross.......
